I'm still undecided about this new GT, I still think 90% is badly acted/wooden and so obviously contrived. The Ford GT40 was quite good but nothing anyone who has an interest in cars didn't know already. I do wonder if Amazon despite all its money consider this worth continuing

3 years is there contract apparently, will cost Amazon a lot if they decided not to continue!
A lot of it is really wooden, which is the way TG was going, hopefully Amazon will realise this and change the next season a little so it's not scripted as much.
Episode 6 I really did enjoy, thought it was the best one yet.

iI think the second series will improve a lot, they'll have a feel for what works and what doesn't. Clarkson said the 2nd episode was to cater for people who didn't like cars but that seems like false logic as they'll just watch something else.

It does decend a little too much towards idiocy. I like clever-stupid but not stupid-stupid, and a lot of this is just school boy idiocy. Top gear was like that too, with a few gems. Still waiting for the gems with this one.

Didn't like them driving up and down that beach and scaring those seals. You could see the seals were stressed. Totally tw@ish behaviour.

I've enjoyed some of the content, the Le Mans feature with the GT40 and P3 was genuinely interesting and the videography is hugely impressive, looks epic in 4k!
I really don't understand the whole celebrity brain crash rubbish, it's not even slightly funny, I can't believe it's an ongoing thing... if thats remains for season 2 I will be amazed. Conversation street is pretty pointless too, as Fez says they're trying to appeal to "non car people" but they won't be watching in the first place!
I think it's just finding its feet for now, JC said before episode 1 aired that Amazon had given them the freedom to script, I just hope season 2 feels more natural once they're comfortable with the new production team etc.

I enjoyed the two parter. I think it's when they're at their best (when doing road trips).
