When did this turn into a lesson in grammar?

When nev posted thumbsup

While where at it, it's 'advice' you're after, not 'advise'. :P

:gayfight:

Now that's not fair, where did I ever write "advise"?

When you install the old/new one, I'd advise fitting a lock nut over the existing M10 nut, as turbos have a habit of unwinding bolts near them (due to the high freq vibrations).

That's correct usage by me, you dummy! I was using the verb "advise". You are getting confused with the noun "advice".

Read here to see the difference: http://www.grammar-m...vice_advise.htm

If you are going to try and correct people, it might be worth checking before you embarrass yourself.

I wasn't correcting you! You asked where you'd written 'advise'. Voila :tumble:

It's harmless I guess, although I'm not sold on the "fun" part, but maybe some sub intelligents can eek some myrrh out of it. Here's some advise/advice for you, never buy a Halfrauds oil filter for ure Vee Exx 220, you'll regret it I can assure yoo..

I spoke to the lovely people at autovaux who have sent me up an account.

A Vauxhall cambelt kit is cheaper than a non OEM one, that is surprising.

What oil filter do you use now? Vauxhall by any chance?

Mann Hummel, arguably the best filters on the planet. I'm running an N/A, so the sealing "O" rings are always problematic as the ones supplied with the filter, even Vauxhall themselves, are the rong fukkin size, but as your a Turbo child, you don't have that issue, just cam belts disintegrating willy nilly, whoever he is!

My very sanme sentiment "hairy" , iI say if you can't add some positive response to the original post, then keep you fooking grammer, spelling bitching to somewhere else, phukkin morons.

Indeed, it's just a bit of banter thumbsup ...and an excuse for a bit of a dig at Nev - who lined himself up for it  But you always get those who think they can decide what's said on an Internet forum and get all prissy when they realise they can't. FFS. Just hurry up and buy one :grouphug:
