With no warning the VX stopped working yesterday...just wouldn't start.
Last time it did this the problem seemed to be with the fuses/relays in the boot. I took them all out and cleaned them up as they are dirty/greasy and for a couple of months or so it's been fine.
This time I tried fiddling around with the relays fuses but to no avail. There is fuel at the fuel rail. I think there is a spark - but maybe i didn't check this properly? I took coil pack out and left it resting on the engine and turned the engine over - a spark was visible jumping from one of the coils to the engine. Is that the best way to check?
On other thing that i noticed is that a fuse had melted in the fuse box at the front of the car. However, it is the headlamp one so is probably not connected? That on it's own is a pain as the fuse seems to be 'fused' into the fuse holder.
So, any idea guys. What else could i check?
Oh yes - the yellow lotus relay in the boot - whats it for? If that has failed could that be my issue? Difficult to check that one as it is a different relay to the others.
