Pressure at the fuel rail tells you the pump is working, therefore cut off is not activated.  It doesn't tell you if the injectors are being instructed to inject

why not just replace the damaged fuse if its melted?

The fuse is probably not related to the non starting as its in the front and it's te headlamp one.

And why can't I replace it? - it's melted so bad it's welded itself into the fuse holder!!! Snapped trying to dig it out so the pins are now stuck down in the holes.  Will have to extract the fuse holder and attack from underneath.  Anyway - with Matt now.

So not not injecting could be a sensor or or theecu isn't instructing somehow. Although I think the ecu would probably turn off the fuel. Op com live data on cranking may help. Will be interesting to see what matt finds.

Dead ECU. Possibly caused by the electrical problems up front with the melted fuse?  Or corroded contacts on the ECU itself - quite poor condition apparently.

So, 2nd hand VX ECU, new VX ECU, new Courtenay map, MBR map, standalone ECU with MBR map - decisions, decisions!

You could also ask about a sizeten map

So, to wrap this up. 2nd hand VX ECU fitted and equipped with MBR/TeamVX (sizeten) map.

Feels great - more power/torque than before (north of 300) and more importantly vastly improved delivery. Loving it!  (not the cost though :(  )
