The low winter sun is totally blinding coming out of Clearways into Clark curve. I nearly made a right hash of it there last time.

Did Malcolm get sorted?

Yeah two jump packs later we got him started again... Now its a question of can he cover 60 miles home on "refill" :D

Hhhhmmmmmm...Joe tried to jump me but his force was too weak, it took a man size jump from beefy to get me going :D

Who burnt Joe? I owe you a beer

'Captain Prepared' deliberately put the wrong plug on his alternator so that Joe would have to reach in (next to the exhaust manifold) to try and plug it in... Like a square peg in a round hole

Video from the Caterham.   It went well but the straight cut gears, race clutch and lumpy engine do not work well at slow speeds, hence jerking out the pits (stop sniggering at the back)

Hi Kevin, That looks great, what's it like compared to the vx? I've been trying to get my mate take his Raw Striker on track. Mark
It's pretty much what you'd expect: Bloody good fun, full of feel, very well balanced and as it carries so little momentum it's easy to change the balance and correct mistakes. Driving technique is similar to the vx but you do need to heel and toe, especially in the wet otherwise you go sideways very quickly. It's quite distracting trying to learn this whilst approaching paddock at over 100mph and trying to not spin, lock the wheels, overshoot and hold some brake right up to the apex to help the front tuck into the corner... Obviously the lower power means it doesn't accelerate in the same way down the straight. I wanted a car I could just drive round and round all day. Yesterday the tyres didn't even warm up, brakes were absolutely perfect the whole day, I only came in when I needed a break! The downside is that it's not road legal so it's a bloody faff sorting out trailer and you can't spot issues (like the alternator not connected) until you're at the circuit. Plus I only get to drive it a handful of times per year.. Tell your friend to get on track, it's what they do best.

Good to know. Now I just need you to spanner for me to make use of the other 3 wires. I'll get the exhaust nice and hot for you so you can keep warm

Seat is in plan.. I should have jumped in yours for a pax ride as I want to hear that engine in real life rather than through a speaker! Where's your video from Brands? :poke:
