Quick legality question for an MOT.

I currently have Lhd spec lights for EU driving. If I replace my right headlight with a UK spec headlight but leave the left one as is, would that be legal?

In that instance I'd have two dipped headlights in a makeshift flat beam pattern, so I wouldn't blind oncoming traffic but also wouldn't specially illuminate the side of the road either.

Just planning the import of both my cars back to Britain and as the Mustang has flat beam lights it made me wonder if it might be possible to achieve something similar for the VX.

Thanks for your help.

No. It's not legal.

Combining a UK and EU spec headlight will not make a flat beam. Each projector creates a _ shape with the shutters, so you'll have _/ _ which will dazzle both sides of the road.

The Mustang works because xenon projectors are essentially flat, however halogen have the _ shape to illuminate signs (due to lower total light output)
