Afternoon,

I've got the familiar grinding noise under heavy acceleration, which means it's time to do the side engine mounts.  Is there a consensus as to which mounts to buy - Autovaux have OEM, Elise parts have vibra-technics uprated ones, anything else I should be considering?

Cheers

Rob

I would buy OEM from autovaux then up rate the front and rear with polyflex CS sell them

Vibra-technics are not required for road use

Do those Regelin ones last longer in reality?

Do'nt know, i'm still driving with the side oem ones and have the poly inserts front and back...Almost done 20k with the oem ones on high power set up.

The Regelin ones seems a cheap solution when the oem are out of stock...

Has anyone got any experience of the Regelin ones? I've seen them on the website but not heard any feedback from anyone who may have fitted them.

The Regelin ones make nervous. The OEM design are at least designed to isolate the harmonics of a 4 stroke engine (hence the oil pocket thingie), while the vibra technics are a socket in cup design so they won't ever pull free. The Regelin ones have neither of these features.

(the Vibra Technics mounts really aren't any worse than OEM btw)

I have called Opel/Vauxhall today and they had 0 in stock, none in Europe. Not going to be made.

I'm looking at the Omega B one, there are two different ones. One gets _very_ close to ours as I've understood the other one is not tall enough (the 3.2 V6 one, see attachment).

Otherwise two Vibra Technics Fast Road...

This a mount on the car.

I would say, Tibby's picture the left one would fit. About the height I can't be certain at the moment.

Yep - ordered from Elise parts last night along with the inserts for the front & rear.

Thanks all for the input - some scrabbling around on the floor coming up...
