Does anyone know yet which hotel is being used for the Magny Cours part of the Frolic? Would like to book the same place. I've asked PG but he doesn't seem to want to release the information yet to those who aren't doing the full event

I've asked too and not been able to glean the info! I've provisionally booked Le Paddock through booking.com on free cancellation.
Chris, i was thinking of doing the same

It would be either Le Paddock , or the cheaper Citotel , there really is not much choice

Thanks Steve, maybe I should book both on a free cancellation basis. I guess PG could also choose something further out though, he doesn't usually pick places which would be more expensive than an Ibis, the nearest of which is in Nevers just 7 miles away

There is plenty of cheap options with IBIS / Accor in Nevers , he might go for that

Just wait until you see the pace at which Foxy can pedal his.

I only just managed to stay ahead in my Exige V6 with Trofeo tyres on at spa. 70 more powers and 200kg less weight...

In two minds about trailering or not. Would enjoy some air con etc and peace of mind of trailer and boot load of tools spares etc, but also feel not really the spirit of things. Leaning towards not trailering.

I have cancelled my hotel bookings , after having issues with booking.com , will probably end up at Ibis Gare , but will be using hotels.com from now on.

It will be a long road trip with 3 trackdays , Spa , Dijon and Magny Cours coming up. Got booked in to BoT for 24th to have an inspection post-Zolder of everything.

Trying to decide if I should just pre-emptively order new pair of front discs rotors only and fit them myself and quick check everything else friction material wise.

Last set of front tyres went on July 2016, I have got wear on front left outside due to an unexpected setup change. Rears changed about same time.

Tyres will be going for the same again, RS-R , oponeo seem to be best atm , £320 for a set

/edit Camskill £294 + £15 delivery , £310

Can't wait! Need to learn the tracks though I've no idea never even seen a map of them so I'll probably be flying down a service road at some point.

every trackday I do this year, Paul says "don't ask me about frolic hotels" , I never have so far

I am keeping it flexible and may end up in Nevers at an Ibis , or Le Paddock at the circuit , I have got so many other things going on at the moment and these days I can only cope with one thing at a time without distractions otherwise its back to step 1 everytime. I have to write constant notes all the time of where I am at.

Is anyone else doing breakdown insurance?

I don't understand why you just didn't book the frolic as a whole tho Steve? That way it's all booked, paid and forgotten about.

I’m currently booked into 3 hotels (all cancellable on the day) for Le Mans, just in case we decide to tag along

Also cancelled then rebooked Le Paddock at Magny through Booking.com (again cancellable) after finding out that the price for the 2 nights had reduced by £40 since originally booking it 😠. However, may decide to cancel the TD at Magny since I’ve started having a few problems again getting the old body raring to go early morning 😟

trackdays already included in annual euro pass

I've just finished booking in the hotels and fixed some aspects of the route which I am happier with now , mainly what route to take from Monza , over the alps , to Dijon . We are at Ibis in Nuits St Georges on the 6th , not so far to get to circuit.

Just 7/8/9 to sort out depending on where people are, for socialising.

Ahhh, didn't realise you had annual euro pass... and that it includes the frolic days.
In which case, that's a bit sh*t that Paul can't share the details with you... or book a room on your behalf.

I get that he doesn't want to publicise for the wider, but if someone has paid for the euro pass, then they've committed a lot of funds already etc.

I'm sure he would make sure there was a room available...
