Coupe back update:
Well, what can I say? I spent so much time this afternoon trying different options for the coupe back, that the day passed without much actual progress.
However, I think I have found an acceptable compromise for the coupe back hatch, but I’m still not sure how to incorporate the buttress grills.
My targa roof has never been removed when on track, so I have decided to produce a new one-piece Carbon Fibre roof combined with the modified roll bar cover and buttress grill area. The buttress grill itself will be cut out of the CF and a grill bonded in from the underside. Or, perhaps I will combine the buttress grills and roll bar grill to form a much large engine hatch and keep the targa roof?
I wanted to extend the buttress further back as I have never really warmed to the odd reverse kink at the bottom of the buttress. Also, the extended buttress should help with the airflow over the rear wing or and an extended boot spoiler.
I can lose a load of weight from the roof/roll bar and original buttresses, which are abnormally heavy for what they are.

Possibly two steep of a angle from the sill
Could just be the camera angle
Just my opinion max
Don't take it as a critism just somthing I noticed

Chris,
I don’t mind criticism at all, I’m a big boy...Well, that’s what the wife’s says!!! The rear arches have been moved out 50mm each side. So far, the sills have just been rotated to meet the newly positioned rear wings.
The sills are being modified with the addition of a more flared and sculpted rear sill area where it meets the rear wheels. But, until I start on the new rear, the rear arches are just held in place temporarily and can be moved should the lights and new bumper surfaces require adjustment.
Also, with my narrow rear tyres, it looks more than a little bit awkward.
Overall, it looks pleasing to my eyes. I’m still toying with incorporating the buttresses, the rollbar cover and roof into one seamless cf fixed panel.
Plus, possibly add a high level brake light back again, but not the original VX one.

...it is a simple coupe conversion. I just got carried away with the buttresses a little.

Watching grand designs yesterday and they just sealed the plaster and said it was a rustic look.
I personally think they ran out of money

That was the excuse I was going to use if it comes out looking rough!
....I may also actually run out of money when the fibreglass guy finally sees what he has to sort out!
