I guess an introduction is in order. I live up in County Durham, prior to that I was in East Herts / Essex and then West Berkshire for around twenty years in total. I was lucky enough to buy my VX from a couple of close friends so it's in the family. It's a mandarin orange NA (and was spotted at Courtenay Sport a few years ago when it was there to get a radiator replaced and in Theale at a business park near the train station).
Somehow 'while the front clam-shell was off' at Courtenay's it seemed a good idea to get a chargecooler rad fitted ... and the quest to supercharge it began. That's kind of why I'm here I guess, I couldn't PM as a guest. I've made no more progress yet but I'll get there and if I don't it doesn't matter TBH.
Otherwise it's out whenever I can get to a track day, when I'm on the trek back down to Theale or out for a drive in the North Yorks Moors.
Before the VX I had assorted flavours of MR2, a couple of Mk3's, a Turbo'd Mk2 and MK1 NA and SC'd (the SC'd engine, the 4AGZE I used for a Raw Striker I built, the NA version of which was an option for the kit). There was an RX-7 FD3S in the mix too which I loved but I sold it to buy the Striker kit. They all saw the track as often as possible.
