It appears that students, contrary to popular belief, are actually more wealthy than ever!!!

I gather this from the couple of them in these forums who own a VX220.

So, I wondered, what did we all start off driving and how did we end up with the VX220?

My history reads:

1. Metro 1.0L (What a stinker)

2. Peugeot 106 1.1XN (...and to think, this felt positively zippy compared to 1)

3. Suzuki Cappuccino (Diminutive but a de-restricted, chipped smile-per-mile winner...shame about the rust!!!)

4. VW Polo GTi (Good solid car, so much better than the standard variant...but its no 2 seater and so heavy)

5. Vauxhall VX220? Its looking very likely in the next month or so.... :D

What old nails did you have to cruise in in your younger years?...
Does the first (car) love last forever?...
What do you dare admit to having been a proud owner of?...

* Ford Fiesta Popular (POA 100Y) * Peugeot 205CJ cabriolet (F456 OLW) * VW Corrado VR6 (L35 DPE) * VW Polo Estate + Saab 900 (company car) (Polo Estate was amazingly practical, and rare) * Audi A6 Quattro Avant (still have this - X801 xxx) * VX220 (Y546 xxx - only acquired June 2003) Looking at it it's surprisingly few motors... although I generally ran each one for at least 5 years or so and intend to do the same with the Audi and VX.

Brad One of the hazardous things about being a salesman in the early nineties was the Vauxhall Laughing Cavalier...even if you tried to make it look like John McClellands touring car. Never mind, I've managed to get the Vauxhall PENT-UP FRUSTRATION THING out of my system now with the VX. :9mm: :9mm: Must go- nursies got my medicine :drink: PS Forgot to mention I also had a Raleigh 18 Honda MB50 Kawafeckinsaki AR80
