Mostly passenger/instruction unfortunately although driven all the Lotus variants many, many times as well as the more humble cars in the list ! Was offered the keys of the Radical but bike engined cars worth £60K scare me and somehow I couldn't see the racing truck owners giving us a go !!

Time for my hall of shame then... 1990-91 Opel Kadett Coupe 1991-1995 Car free (University years) 1995-1997 Nova GTE with Pipercross cam, Magnex exhaust and induction kit  1997 Astra 2.0 SRi - too sensible, lasted 3 months 1997-1998 Astra GTE 16v - fun car. Pretty quick for it's day 1998-2000 More car free time. Bought house near work and commuted by bike. No need for a car! 2000 Ford Puma 1.7 - great fun little car 2001-2003 Audi TT225 Coupe - modded to 275 bhp, with uprated shocks & springs and Porsche 993 turbo brakes 2003 - Vectra 2.5 V6 Estate Auto (still have - my commute wagon) 2003 - VX220 2.2 Paul

I think one of the most unusual cars I've ever been in was an old sit up and beg style Ford Popular (1950's) fitted with a 3.2L Jaguar engine and gearbox. You had to sit where the back seats had been to drive the thing. It could see off most cars at traffic lights etc. trouble was it ate half shafts.

Here's my paltry contribution. 1. Nissan Micra (5 door, one of those silver/black two tone numbers, bought out of necessity as I was faced with a 16 mile journey to work and no public tranport. Not that I'm ashamed or anything). 2. Peugeot 306 (six years and only let me down twice - thermostat and clutch cable). 3. VX (shortly after hitting 30....).

I agree, awesome car. However, my last one did have to have a new engine at 8,000 miles!!! I'm sure the two trips to N'burgring, day at Imola, and evening at Silverstone had nowt to do with it......... :D

Well it would be, if our scheme wasn't based on interest free loans.... making it probably the most tax efficient scheme on the planet.

Another "downside" is having to change cars every six months. So in October my X5 is no more and will be replace by a rather nice Carbon Black M3.......

Still addicted to my VX all the same......... :D
