Logic dictates that I wait 'till Spring to replace the car, though I have already been very tempted (oh, God am I tempted) by road-legal, 263bhp supercharged Cup Exige (full rollcage    /plumbed-in fire extinguisher    / race suspension & diff.m harnesses, etc., etc.) in  Krypton Green  Have not dared to suggest blowing savings on that, though my wife knows in which direction I'm leaning. There was the latest copy of Sport Auto waiting for me when I got home with the tested Exige 240R on the front cover  She commented on that being rather co-incedental. She even approves of Krypton Green... was this meant to be?

Dude - way to raise the bar! :D :D Can't be a coincidence and what better way to celebrate being alive? thumbsup I say go for it before the other half changes her mind, especially if it won't be there in the Spring...

If it helps, the only Exige I would have would be a supercharged one, just to restore some of the low down grunt the VVTi Exiges are missing ;)

Take care,

Andy

All I can do is echo everyone else, glad you are OK and cars are just machines that can be replaced or rebuilt.

OMG! just read this... I'm glad you are relatively OK and alive... Sorry about the car, but look at the bright side, now it doesn't stand in the way of you getting the exige... ;) Have been kind of down myself for the last few day since I crashed my Speedster on track during the weekend... I'm fine though but a bit sore... And the car will probably be fixable...

You made the papers (Die Südostschweiz). Unfortunately you need an online subscription to read the full article.

totally stunned keith - have just seen this and read your opening post - most of the time, with my hand over my mouth and for some of it over my eyes! so very relieved to know you are ok and already on the mend. lucky to be alive, is luck worth having, i think. wishing you a swift and full recovery - can't say it with enough weight, but is great to be reading your tale of woe, it could so easily have been silence or static. get an exige - you only live once! well kinda, lol.

Hello Mate! I've just read this and wanted to echo the thoughts and wishes of everyone before me. Best wishes for a speedy (no pun intented) recovery. 2005 hasn't been too kind to you and yours what with this and your brother in New Orleans. I hope 2006 is a better year for you all. With regard to funding your replacement vehicle. If you can afford it then get it and enjoy it. Life's too short! To quote my late father "As long as your family are provided for then its only money! You can't take it with you and there's no point in being the richest bloke in the graveyard." I look forward to hearing of your exploits in your new toy in the new year. It's difficult I know but try to resist the temptation of going back to work too early. Come back with a vengeance once you are fully recovered. Get well soon All the best Al.

Get well soon Speedy and good luck replacing the Speedster. I think you should go for the Krypton Green Exige, sounds like a brilliant car. Sounds like the sort of accident everybody dreads, your pictures definitely get my vote for a place on the calendar.
