Many thanks for the offer. I think I'm going to have to try some lids on. At palmersport I was very definitely large (as it were :o ) but according to the measurements I'm only a medium.

Same as me!! Measured my head last night just above the eyebrows and came in at 56cm - there is NO WAY i ever get a medium on :beat: :beat:

I am either a 56 or a 58cm which supprised me. Originally I started in a 62! but after a couple of runs in a kart I rattled around in it a little. Best thing you can do is physically get to a bike shop and try some on.

 Agreed! As I said earlier, I range from a small to a large, depending on the manufacturer

I went there too. Ended up buying an XL Sparco when I'm usually L. Still can't find a lid for the Mrs who seems to range from XXS to M depending on the brand! :o

we were instructed that msa standard helmets were to be worn when on the track.

i assume the marshalls on the day will be checking that peoples helmets are of the standard required. might even be that as part of the day in organisation (don't know how we stand legally, john?) me or thorney have to check that people have the standard that is required.

i'm sure that the marshalls/us will use common sense and not stop anybody tracking who have the new european equivilent of TYPE A.

so i would think that if you cannot get a blue stickered helmet, that a the euro one will do. only downside to this is that you might not be able to utilise them elsewhere if they are still sticking to the old outdated blue sticker rule.

please, tho people, don't for your own safety use anything less than type a or the equivilent.....

thorney does this stance sound ok to you?

try your small local independent bike shops for old stock. i have sold my FM onto mani and picked up iceman a slightly better one with massive discount off the RRP. the endor was £139.99 down to £50 and the other not sure what model was £150 down to £70. i managed to pick myself an OGK aeroblade RRP £189.99 for £100, pic below. have cleaned out their old stock unfortunately. well worth a wonder through yellow pages and a few phonecalls....
