I spoke to Nigel today, as seriously considering changing from the standard VXT exhaust, after the geo is done, had the same dilemma when I had the NA, (but diff exhaust - naturally), in the end I had a Piper fitted, never regretted it, Nigel quoted 695.00 with the cat, I think plus 50.00 for fitting. lifetime warranty, the only way to resolve the power output is to get two VXT's back to back but with the diff exhaust fitted to each car, I'm going to phone Horizon soon to see what they will charge to fit, I could do it myself, (I fitted the piper and VSE) but to bloody busy!!

Sorry...not possible. The ECU needs a lambda feed, without a cat of any kind or MIL bypass it'll generate an error code and the car will revert to limp home mode.

I had a blueflame and sports cat fitted by Horizon, made the performance much better, the sound could have been better at first, but after a couple of hundred miles it has mellowed, my only issue with it, is that it it is not dead central, no affect on the clam, I just need to tweak the mounting a bit, the MIL came on last night (not flashing), impressed, but the NA did that, it went off after 50 miles or so, so I'm hoping the same will happen with the blueflame, on the whole I'm pleased, I think its the sports cat that has made the most difference, Horizon say its a bit of a pig to fit though

has any1 got any sound/video clips of the exhausts? ideally i just want to hear a couple of the standard, blue flame and milltek?? did a search and nothing came out. ps:blue flame are very very respected amongst the V.A.G world and so are milltek tbh. theyve both great history and its down to personal preference over anything else on these 2 manufacturers imho. -ho

Guys, I've had a full Blue Flame system fitted and am really impressed by the performance, build quality (they did a great job fitting it too) and of course the fantastic sound which is improving with every mile :D ... It's much quieter in the cabin than i thought it would be, and not too different from the original at motorway speeds, but anybody behind tells me it sounds awesome, and rattles there windows lol B)

I did consider Miltek, but tbh the price is a big pill to swallow!! As someone mentioned earlier Blueflame is TVR OEM fit now, so i knew that they must be good, and with the whole system supplied and fitted for £675...it's great value...

We had a rolling road day up at Well Lane Turbo centre a couple of weeks back, and on the Dyno it achieved 245bhp, and 230lbft of torque, while spitting out a few flames lol... B) (although they weren't blue so maybe i should take it back :P ) The car is totally standard to, with only a Courtenay panel filter changed on the induction...

They get my recommendation thumbsup

Have you removed the cat? You could be in serious danger of knackering the engine if so... :o
