You bastard, that makes me want an Exige S even more now :(

Nah – go for a nicely run-in Exige and whack the Bemani on – far better engineering, better performance and price.

My dealer apparently actually gave Lotus all the details of the Bemani solution, but they declined to adopt it (and don't forget it fits in the 111R too, unlike the Lotus one). Their excuse was it loses the typical characteristics of the 'Yota engine  . What a load of b*llocks! Oh, yes, I'll have 45bhp less and a top-heavy bulky unit planted on top please :beat:

Available with Lotus' stupidly affordable finance deal is it ?

quality mate - the video is ace. are you wearing a jumper to match the car? :D

Of course – and T-shirt! :D

incidentally hhave you seen this?

http://www.elisetalk...ead.php?t=21026

No, I hadn't seen that. I didn't join that forum – have you read the rules for membership? :o  NO political debate permitted, etc. – not like the VX forum where JimH, PB, you, myself and others regularly make controversial/derogatory comments about political events... talk about kindergarten – what are they afraid of?

Just had another look and realised it must have been a different US Lotus forum that had such nanny rules – this one seems OK thumbsup :D

The GT3 clip is finally up now thumbsup. And this guy even trailers the car the 400km to track it, so he must take it fairly seriously......

The car was new early last year for the first owner. He got the dealer to run it in, and install the S/C , the majority of this was done on the rolling road. Hardly a speck of dust on any components as it has hardly seen a real road. He had intended to race in it, but also has a 300+bhp Seven and decided to concentrate on racing that and concluded in the end that he had no need for the Exige

So... I was able to let him take a big depreciation hit and in October buy a perfectly mint, ready run-in dream machine that has now just been freshly serviced for its Spring awakening and filled with Castrol RS 10W-60 and Shell V-Power 100RON fuel thumbsup

It had only done around 2,200km when I bought it. I've added another 1000 in the last couple of days doing what the car is intended to do :D

1st gear instead of 3rd is not a good idea – I did get better in the course of the afternoon, so there is some hope  – though, in the heat of a track battle, I could yet come unstuck – but hey – other people throw themselves out of planes or off cliffs for fun – and I've got a roll cage and extinguisher system thumbsup

I know tha NA was about 120ish and the Turbo´s(modded) about 135-140 I think  Like you say a bit more practice will make perfect thumbsup

Nice vid Keith...sort them shifts out though  :poke:  :P

Been spoilt by the clearly defined VX gate

To be honest, I wasn't looking at first, John– too busy sussing the braking point :P After the first session, another guy in a similar Bemani Exige said he was seeing around 230kmh (143.75mph). I checked and it is still increasing when you get to the braking point and that's about right – this guy then claimed he'd seen 235kmh – I maybe did too – just about...

Biggest difference to the N/A* is how tied down and stuck to the road it is with the Imnotworthy Öhlins, Yokos and aero aids thumbsup

*Apart from the extra 120bhp, obviously!
