Hi Just to let you all know that Plans Motorsport have in stock of a batch of Magnesium Alloy VXR Speedlines. These are the same as the OE wheel but are about half the weight. They are in silver rather than black, to differentiate from the original wheels. They are OK for road use, as long as you look after them and don't leave them scratched or kerbed over the winter. In our opinion they are the ultimate wheel, either for the VXR, VXT or even a serious NA. I will send photo's to anyone who is interested. They are £1499 incluing VAT; or £2099 (inc VAT) including a set of new A048 LTS VXR Original Equipment Tyres. These are in stock and are the ultimate wheel for the VX 220.

Graham Are these available in Lotus 4 stud as well as Vxl 5 stud? If they are available in 4 stud can you please post a precise weight (+ size, rim & offset)? Are they rated for slicks? Regards - Ian

Yes, but the Lotus 4-stud wheels are a different offset to the VX VXR rim. I will wiegh them. If you want a VX wheel with 4-stud fixings then minimum order is 6 sets.

Ummm if thats the logic why buy a silver set when you can buy black for 800 and spray them?

I think these are special as they are magnesium..... black or silver they will still be magnesium

"nice car mate.. quite fancy one myself..how much they go for.. how fast ... not sure on the black wheels though.." walks off n gets into a blue mx5 with chrome all over it.. apparently he got it off a guy who raced it... and you bought it for the road !!!

I think these are special as they are magnesium..... black or silver they will still be magnesium yeah well if your stupid enough to spray or powder coat new wheels all well and good i say.. and my point was why pay 1500 instead of 800... and yes if i find a set of standard speedlines i would spray them silver if thats what i wanted but i dont see the logic in paying double if u want to spray them black, oh unless u want to save a few ounzes per wheel
