We can't compete with the on line tyre suppliers or the big fitters as we don't order the volume I'm afraid, they're ordering thousands of tyres a month and we only do 20 or so so we don't supply them to make a profit more like just a service. Sorry.

Thanks for the update JT....... I would like Black Pro Race 1.2 with T1-R's.... Got a number to ring to pay a deposit. If the springs are in I would need them fitted at the same time. :) Dave

I've heard from the forum that the 16" fronts might cause some issues with the standard vx220 ABS unit. Can anyone who has the 16/17 combo fitted back this up - or is it safe to keep the standard ABS unit?

My abs was not changed on a recall (2002 NA) and when switched to 16/17 it was awful!!
I then bought the VXR abs unit - works like a charm.

Option 1 look lovely. How do they compare in weight comparison with the standard wheel on a na?

If you'd bothered to read the entire thread you'll see that std wheels are around 10.5kgs and these are around 7.5kgs - similar weights to the OZ, so around 12kgs unsprung weight saved in total.

"...Thorney has a PM from me..."

Is there something wrong with PM:s? They do not show up as "sent" even if I select the checkbox that sent items should be copied to the sent-folder...

anyway,
Thorney - please let me know if you received my PM or not...I am in for a silver set!

Spot on Chris...... Thorney should have some VXT lowering springs ready next week (?).

And YES, I shall be having them..if alls well......... fitted with new wheels and tryes.

Didn't fancy spending best part of another grand on nitrons etc when its mainly for road use. (call me a cheapskate  )

Dave

Slimvince, I think it's better to ring TMS to order and pay your deposit. Number is in this thread.

Your right sent PM's don't appear in the sent box but should get through.
