No worries my friend. Anyone that thinks such conversations on an open/public forum could be based on fact needs to get a reality check ;)

I've only got one chilli plant growing at the mo, a Thai Rainbow........ I've still got a couple of hundred chillies in the freezer from the previous years plants, hence me minimising my crop.

Most of our other veg & herbs are doing well, particularly the potatoes, sweetcorn, beetroot, and pumpkins. And the radish came up really well again this year, but we've eaten all of those now. :D

The only thing that hasn't gone too well are the onions, only one seed grew out of a whole packet! :o Mind you they were old seeds, so maybe that's to be expected......

And I don't think we'll get many raspberrys, because the chickens are still nicking its leaves, despite me surrounding the bush with chicken wire. I'm not too fussed though, because I was only going to make wine with them, and our demijohns are still full of blackberry & pear wine from the autumn.

As for currys, if you can't be bothered to measure out all of the individual spices you can buy them ready mixed HERE. ;)
And Gurkha Fine Foods make it even easier to have authentic tasting curry in your own home. B)

Ordered from the 1st link after reading this yesterday, arrived this morning, cooked and ate with it tonight. Tonight we had the Tikka masala, Pilau rice and Naan. All were very tasty. Would recommend thumbsup Not spicy enough though :P

Will be trying Gurka foods when we get through the 5 different curries we got from the 1st place!

It does arrive quickly. thumbsup And I'm sure you'll agree, it's much easier than having about a dozen spices to measure out and add at various stages of cooking.
I haven't tried the Tikka Masala, but I do tend to add some chilli powder/fresh chillies to the Madras, because I like it nice & spicy. :)

As for Gurkha fine foods I like all of their currys, but think my fave is the Kukhra........ Mmmm, Chicken Kukhra, Green Lentil Dahl, boiled rice, either Mango or Cucumber Achar, and of course a bit of Hillboy to mix in. *slobber* B)
Hey, I might take a couple of dishes to the Nepalese New Party next April, to see if I can trick our Gurkhas into thinking I've made them from scratch. :D ;)

Happy cooking,
E. ;)
