And here with his sis, Minnie. They flew over to the US with us when we moved last year. We were very relieved they made it in one piece on such a long flight. They love the Californian climate and have settled in very well

Gosh...how sweet are they. Very nice photographs ian. A BIG thank-You for sharing them (i'm liking this thread more and more as the days go by
My only regret is that i didn't think to do it earlier

On another note. How did you get on with taking your babies with you ian? Did they have to go through a quaranteen period (if so, how long was it and could you visit them whilst they were incaserated?) and did they need pet passports? I hope you don't mind me asking you these questions but you're the first friend i'v had that has made the move with their pets![]()

No quarentine required when entering the US of A but you do need to have pet passports showing rabies jabs etc. The flight cost more than ours too (they went BA, we went United
) The passports are quite funny as they have mug shots. It's actually going to be harder getting them back into the UK but as long as we keep up the jabs then they will be OK when we return in 2009. Just one day over the scheduled dates for the jab renewal and we're stuffed.

Thank-You kindly for your offer of help/advise. There are no plans to move at the moment but ideas have been bantered back and forth and questions asked as to the validity of certain of my fears (regarding moogie.)I've not really been on here much so I'm not up to speed on the latest... Are you moving abroad?
Just PM me if you need more info. I can highly recommend the pet transportation company we used (Although they are Heathrow based)

Iceman - good point well made. IMHO all expletives lose their power if over used. I think tolerance and understanding are the key. Sometimes its just the only way to say what you have to say but I too have noticed the change in recent months. There's more of it and more liberally used.
I also sympathise - You're posting and absolutely incensed by whatever has afflicted you - in those circumstances using such words helps to expiate and express that emotion. BUT 99% of the time we may be a tad miffed or just having a friendly banter. That's when I am dissapointed to see the language abused and missused.
In summary save it for when it really really matters then we will understand and tolerate the odd lapse.
