Abbie ..............my parents' dog. Rescued when she was a few weeks old, my parents have had her 7 years now. We think she's a cross between an alsatian and a terrier of some description. She's the softest dog I've ever known who even talks to me on the phone. (Yep, I'm barking mad.). This is her doing her meerkat impression. .

Comes out every day to see us now. Mrs W found it curled up on the front doorstep this afternoon. We've named him Olly the Hedgehog as he bears a strking resenblance to our very own Northants pit crew member ollyj.

Olly the hedgehog has decided that the front doorstep and the rest of the garden isn't comfortable enough and has declared squatter rights in the tortoise house. The tortoises clearly don't know what to make of him.

Hard armour versus spiky things in a confined arena. It's like animal robot wars.

Leaving it set up for a bit to get temps and humidity right then I'll be putting a royal python. Excited :)

So you got one, cool Is its a baby one ?

Dont think the humidity is a problem as long as the water dish is dig enough.(helps at shedding time when they get in it )

So you now have a box of frozen pinkeys in the freezer  Not be long till its on large rats

I had snakes for years

Just the two Sail fins at the moment running all round the house

Get a picture of him

Not bought it yet (still not decided on boy or girl or names) End of the month I'll prob get it just got it all going now so I'm not trying to get temps right while the snakes shivering in its house haha. Will be a baby :) Pinkeys will be going in my mates freezer downstairs as the fridge i have in my room is just a fridge haha. Although I've not told him yet ;)

Get the boy,(if the shop can sex it,good luck with that) I have all sorts of hassle with the female sail fin at egg laying time, it goes mental

Plus no chance of it dieing due to being egg bound

Just go for the nice colour and a nice healthy lively looking critter

One tip i would give is to handle him regularly from young. The last thing you want in a few years is a big python that can not be handled. They can become very aggressive at feeding time if your not careful.

Oh sorry, bet you have had snakes before and i am rambling about stuff you know
