Its the next round of the Lotus on Track Elise Trophy at Castle Combe, anyone feel like coming along and supporting? Can be a bit lonely surrounded by Elises so would be nice to have some friendly faces there :D I'm running the VXT (now sadly in class D due to the rear clam having holes in it) but we're testing the new manifold, map and suspension settings so we're hopeful the car will actually finish for a change. Of greater note is that its Richards (one of our techs) first ever race in the 2.2 and after finally getting to the bottom of the low power on the car its finally up to race spec of 180bhp. Seeing as we got 7th in class in the last race with 160bhp the car should finally start to show its worth, even though its Richards first race and he's been told to bring it back in one piece or I fire him......no pressure then :D I'm sure he could do with all the support he can get - he's one of the guys who actually works on your cars so I'm sure a pat on the back and a good luck will mean a lot to him (and me for that matter....but lets not push it shall we :) ) Weather is supposed to be nice, Castle Combe is a fantastic spectators circuit with great views for the entire length and is very fast. We have 2 races, pretty early on in the afternoon with practice at 9am so there's a whole day there for fun.....oh and a few other races worth seeing too. :)

See my other thread for details, but entry is £15 per adult (kids are free - woohoo!)

Glad to hear that a 2.2 is entered, this'll make it more entertaining...

Maybe see you all there!

Details on here , clicky , I think there will be quite a few VX's in the SELOC hospitality area. Contact Burt on SELOC for late ticket availability.

I think you will have to buy one on the door now as they are not sending anymore out.

That said you can ask Burt but I think he may get a little annoyed!!

Just a word of warning for those going to Castle Combe that the Royal International Air Tattoo is taking place at RAF Fairford which is just the other side of the M4 so expect traffic on your way to the circuit to be heavy. I'm probably going to Fairford on Saturday. If I do I might bring the tent along and camp at the circuit with you lot. thumbsup

I think the plan is now to take the caravan and we'll camp Sat night. We'll probably buy tickets for the Seloc BBQ, failing which we'll have one of our own.
