Due to some poor soldering of a resistor, my own fault, when removing the airbag my lamp went on as well. Anyhow, thanks to Raven I've now found a solution that doesn't involve Opel/Vauxhall! Bought a cheap chinese interface at eBay, like >This<. Costed me USD 38.99 incl. shipping from China. There were no instructions included, nor any setup program. So couldn't get it to work initially. But after doing some search for OP-COM I managed to find both a firmware upgrade from 1.12 to 1.18 as well as a later SW dated 080114. Selecting VX220 2002 enables you then to clear airbag faults (and turning off the lamp). For some reason the airbag is not included if you select VX220 2001.

Old post, but saved me a lot of grief when turning my airbag light out (have now fitted resistor). Couldn't find the airbag option when I sleected 2001 as the MY for my Y reg vx. I wouldn't have even thought about selecting 2002 as the MY - so thanks Stefan!!!

Wish I could turn my airbag light off as easily! I've linked up with op com and got fault codes 52, 53, 32, 36 and 38. It wouldn't reset them anyone got any ideas how to clear codes? Its a 2003.
