Ok...I'm now confirmed. Sorry you couldn't make it though Matt. I think It's going to be a busy day at Coombe, as I noticed that the day is being shared between Lotus on Track, Honda on Track & also EasyTrack.

It's unfortunate that I had to cancel but it's in a good cause. I didn't want to be the only non-forced induction VX there with less than 200bhp either :( It will certainly be busy. But, I've done a couple of Audi days there and they run the sessions pretty well. So as long as you're in the right place at the right time it runs pretty smoothly. Enjoy! thumbsup

The charity day I did in Feb was well run in 3 sessions and I didn't feel cheated for track time. thumbsup

I was lucky enough to get Plans to swap my gearbox at Very short notice this week....A big Thanks to them! When I dropped the car off today, 6 other VX’s were there having work done to them & probably as many as 14 other cars awaiting work. So, I should still make Castle Coombe next Monday, all going well. I think I’ll take a chance with my tyres as they are well past their best now.

Great to hear, do you know if you are meant to have grooves left on your tyres to be any good on track days, mine a groove less

Considering the weather forecast on 28th , perhaps grooveless tyres would be an excessive risk to take. I will bring along the datalogger , I might have my laptop fixed by then for fault code reading.

Sorry you can't get a place Martin. I guess with only 12 places it was a bit of a long shot. :( Weather forcast looks like showers at best in the afternoon. I'm more bothered about getting petrol for the journey home.

Weird, I'm sure the BBC site was showing rain earlier this morning. Metcheck is still showing showers in the pm. Max, you have pm on fuel. chinky chinky
