So do 6'1", 15 (and a bit *cough*)stone blokes. Though I don't think anyone's ever described me doing it as 'cute'. Just sit on the black plastic sill cover rather than the body work, then slide backwards.Girls under 5'5" seem to be able to just sit on the sill (perpundicular to the car) and literally just 'plop' in! Its soo cute!
BTW Tashy suggested using the door frame as support. Avoid using the windscreen surround as pulling on this can crack the windscreen (especially so for heavier male passengers!)

I take it, its just pratice. I think my skirt days are over.
IIRC R1CHY's first post was the same as that
I still get trouble, PVC doesn't stretch like it used to

Miss/ Mrs/ Ma Baker - firstly welcome and try privilege insurance

Very important, do not sit on the sill as they are plastic and crack easily, they are expensive for what they are
I wish I'd known this earlier as I've already cracked mineI'm torn between glueing it with high speed tape on the reverse, just the tape or buying a new one ..... There seems to be a small gap undeneath so when I renew/repair I may try to pack it in order to aleviate the strain it gets when my fat arse lands on it!
Looking at several thousand £K (around 3-4) to get this replaced at a stealer.
Try a local fibreglass company, or try pushing your luck at a stealer for a warranty repair for a defective part.
I'm 6" 2' To get in go left leg on silver grip thing infront of seat, head all way through until you hit the passenger window then just sit back. Works OK until you have a passenger, just make sure you get in first!

Christ, sounds like I got off lightly this weekend - I had both my parents and my aunty in the car on saturday, every one of whom had a completely different entrance / exit strategy.....sitting on sills, grabbing the top edge of the windscreen, flopping in backwards like they were scuba diving......Very important, do not sit on the sill as they are plastic and crack easily, they are expensive for what they are

Sounds as though unless I can learn to slide in 'T1000 liquid metal styley' it's only a matter of time before I break something......

Remove the roof which will allow you to lower yourself into the seat in a dignified manner, then have your Butler re-fit the roof before driving off.......easy.

Cwumbs, you did well to pack your Mum, Dad & Auntie in at once, no wonder they struggled

Getting out with the roof off is much easier, especially when you do it action film stylee with the door closed
not one for the old boys / girls though sorry
just dont touch the 'headrest' thigns behind the seats.....

And pushing the seat all the way back before getting in or out helps.

Hay,
Thanks for the tips. I guess I will have to find the best method with loads of pratice.

I have just be quoted 3200 in insurance on confused.com. As being so young and only 1 year driving experience is there anyway to get this down?
OMFG How old are you?!??!!?!
Relating to my above comment, at your age and experience level (not a critisism by the way), be very careful it will bite if you give it a little too much, far more than an MG ever could. Spend alot of time getting used to the car, alot of very experienced owners on here have lost it at some point.unlucky
oh and take it easy in the turbo. they can bite.
But mainly, ejoy.
PS Did you find your soft top?
PSS What do you think of it so far after the drive home (hope it wasn't too wet).
