to be fair i wouldn't take any notice of it. it can be raining 5 miles away and dry at cadwell.. just have to see how it is on the day when you get there and hope for dry!

Yeah - I know.

To be honest I can probably predict the weather there more accurately myself - if I drive up to you with T1's on there will be glorious sunshine; if I put the 888's on it will pee it down all day

Still, if we get a dry morning and it rains all afternoon I can always spend the pm sitting in the restuarant watching Monaco thumbsup

We're missing each other on different threads here

As I've just posted on t'other one, there's still a space free - can't see it selling now so you should get away with an arrive & drive thumbsup

Plus, even if that one goes, for some reason I'm on the list twice (unless there's a Mr M and a Mr_M at LoT now  ). I've told Paul about it, but it's still there, so I reckon there's a good chance they'll suddenly discover a space anyway :)

I'm bringing both sets of wheels A048's & the T1-R's on the car. As I've never been to Cadwell Pk before, although I have now booked 4 seperate Track days there this year. The early morning session will be me just getting used to the track & driving line anyway. Hopefully the afternoon session will be dry & fast. I hope the weather men have now got thier forcasts right and we have a dry day on Sunday. See you all there!

To be honest, my post about tyre choice was partly in jest. Based on previous expeirnce of Cadwell, if it starts really peeing it down the best tyre is the one that's on a parked and stationary car in the paddock.

I'm sure Phil won't mind me cross posting this as a timely reminder - Clicky -

:o

(and that was on T1's with plenty of tread left......)

i was there on that day pax'ing in AlexOs VXT on a048's and we were still flying round, and that happened to the elise on t1r's :o the back end was a bit of a state, do you know how much it cost to repair? he will have been doing around 80/90 at that point at a guess..

Nasty accident! But I shall be on track whether it rains or snows (ok, maybe not if it snows!). I have two new rear A408's just fitted today, as my last ones were full slicks. Damn the LTS tyres are expensive! The problem is that my front yoko's are still pretty good and swapping to R888's didn't make much sense & I have now got very used to the Yoko setup. The good news is that my local tyre fitters will fit and balance a full set for me for only £10 (tea money!)

Can't remember how much it cost, though sure I did hear Phil say once. iirc pretty much entirely bodywork so could have been a lot worse

To be fair to Phil (and he deserves big chinky chinky for posting this vid and allowing such a public discussion of what went wrong) he admits that this one was mainly driver error - put simply - 'twas the wrong part of the track to be on a trailing throttle :(

Max - admire the sentiment- but you're going home on a trailer regardless

As much as I will normally pough on regardless of the weather, after a few very near misses at Cadwell in the wet I've decided that discretion really is the better part etc etc - Phil's shunt on the straight was bad enough - the consequences of losing it through one of the corners don't really bear consideration
