He replied but with no photo. They really will try anything, heres his reply: The car is practically brand new and from a mechanical point of view it is in perfect Condition. I don’t want you to be worried as the car is flawless, the problem is that the car is priced as cheap as it used to belong to my brother and unfortunately he is no longer among us as he had a motorcycle accident 2 months ago. Together with my wife we have decided to sell the car for a modest sum, not to have any financial gains from this deal. We just don’t want to see the car in the driveway as it brings back memories. I want this car to go to a good owner as my brother would have wanted. The car is a RHD. The car registered in the UK with DVLA and it has the MOT and tax. All you have to do is register the car in your name. I cannot use my paypal account and this is why I have asked eBay to open an account where you can send the money. I also sent an email to them right now and they tell me that you must have contacted a different department that doesn’t know about this transaction. Just email to the agent that handles our transaction at support@vehicles-protection-purchase.com _____________- I remember reading earlier in the thread that he was currently going through a divorce, thats why he was selling? Now its because of his deceased brother? The case continues............. Edit- My reply Ok I need piece of mind before proceeding with the transaction. Can you take a photo with something with a date on within the last few days next to the car? What about my original offer of collecting the car as a week away in Europe is just what the doctor ordered? _____________ Should I stop emailing them or carry on for a bit of entertainment?

His reply- Ok that’s not a problem, in return can you send a picture of your driver’s license and the cash, just to see that you have the money and that you have good intentions. I will then reply and attach the photo. We can go on from there. I am sorry to do this but you don’t seem that you want the car and this is just as a measure to stop wasting time. Mine- The money is in a bank account, as you have been requesting a money transfer. I am interested in the car! I have been looking for a nice VX for last few months. As for the driving license, DVLA have it as I have just got 3 points for speeding. Photo or not? I have better things to do then waste your and my time! ____ I have had enough now :groupjump: The driving license bit is actually true rallly :P

OMG Some of you have the story right - I bought it off TT and sold it to a London guy off Pstonheads who got rid three months later to a guy from Newcastle, who it looks like has since sold it to a mate off here. The car was great btw! Wonder if there is a Nigerian VX users club?

I have tracked down the genuine owners address.

He will be advised of the contents of this thread.

(I dont think he is a member)

The current owner is now aware of this thread.

He should be along to The Chase 2008

I am glad this has finally got to the real owner of the car. I would be very annoyed (to say the least) if I found out someone was using my car (or at least pictures of it) to scam people.

Good work :)
