Is it a clam off job to replace a standard manifold?

No it isn't.

Plans did mine (clam still in place).

Really? Well you can do it by lossening it off but it puts a lot of stress on the clam itself, we've never waneted to try. Thanks for letting us know.

This is a standard manifold i'm talking about. Did look like a very confined space to work in (plus having to grind out bolts didn't help either).

Thanks

It was clumped together with a load of other work. It took quite a bit longer due to a couple of bolts having to be ground off, so not too sure of exact costs.

It depends on the state of your bolts etc., so would vary in time and price i guess!?

How much intrest would there be for the weapon-r 2-1 section as i will be tacking
mine together towards the end of july, then my boss will tig weld it for me.

Maybe i ask him if he'd be intrested/get a price to do a few  .

Are we talking about supplying completed manifolds or just a welding service? That is, who will supply the weaponR and other materials needed?

I have spoken to my boss and he's willing to make up a number of manifolds, we will get my car in
towards the end of july and make two jigs offering 2.25" and 2.5" complete 2-1 sections ending
at the u-bend.

Did anything come of this in the end? im still on the lookout for a new manifold.

Why would you need to loosen the clam off?

Why would you need to loosen the clam off?

to fit the 4-1 tubular manifold thumbsup

you don't need to with a standard exhaust manifold

I was bored so I knocked this up, I've not got the measurments of the std manifold but it's about the right size, and the runners are more or less equal but short for a NA.

Should be pretty cheap as it only has 2 bends per runner, although welding the collector could be a tricky.

here the long version of it ;)

just for the records: 4-1 Komo-Tec Manifold, powergains in addition with a "manifold remap": 16-20PS

and most definetly: a clamoff-job

@techieboy: do you have done a paintjob to your engine?

Regards

We had a lot of work on and as july came and went and nobody asked about it, towards the end of august
i cut and tacked it together not making a jig and a lad down the road who does some work for us tigged it together for me.

So nothing came of it in the end, sorry.
