Thanks for the kind words everyone! Stage 4... after the last few months in Mike's Honda I'll better get used to stage 2 again first  The wheels and cap will stay as they are, I looked long and hard at going 'Stealth' but recon its just right as it is :D Driving round today I'd forgotten how many looks the VX gets, one guy looked at it and just nodded as if to say 'thats spot on...' ta! :P And polished up in the sun today you can really see the quality of the work done by Horizon, superb job guys! chinky chinky

I first met Mr Simba at the M42 services with Namaah who had kindly picked him up to go to the waterman meet one Sunday. I had only had my vx about a week and was told the horrible story of the 360 degree incident which filled me with horror as it sounded like he barely touch the accelerator. Since then either through here or at the meets I have heard the on going saga of the very slow rebuild (with no fault to H). Having never seen the car before, hearing the story and now seeing the pictures now I can’t wait to see the finished product.....it looks great. Top marks to Horizon! See you at the next meet ……err fancy giving mine a polish looks like you have a talent there!!

Wow the car looks great. Liking the black V on the front. Mine has the windscreen surround done, seeing yours I think I might get the V done too. Although mine is certainly not as shiny as yours. Look forward to seeing it at the chase. Reading your post makes me feel even luckier about the 900 degree spin that I had a few months back also at 15 mph but luckily for me not hitting anything.

win some... lose some...

a friend a few years back's boyfriend came off his motorbike and flew through the air straight into a streetlight post

It took literally months of surgery to re-build him and he was never the same, but if he'd have 'flown' 5" either way in the air and he'd of walked away from it with nothing but a scuffed fairing...

Certainly puts my bash into perspective.

As you say. At the end of the day it is only a car and can be repaired, to a very high standard in your case, where as the human body is not so easy to repair. Still, must be nice to get it back after so long.

I have noticed that according to Vauxhal the colour of my car is Blue/Black, although it is definately black. Is your car the same colour.

Is yours an NA or Turbo?

The NA black is a solid black and the Turbo is 'Black Saphire' pearlescent

All the paint colours are here, just click on the colours at the top thumbsup

Well they exceeded my expectations and I'm almost impossibly fussy! Really nice people at Horizon, Mike, Wendy and the team there go out of their way to make you feel welcome, They'll hand 'Vince' back to you better than new I'm sure!

Yep, Front clam (up to bonnet) Full sills (inner and outer) Wing mirrors & 'V'

Very well done 'almost' impossible to see, you'd have to look very hard to notice it thumbsup

my coral blue V5 says blue/black

That's exterior/interior. Mine says orange/blue (yup... ). That's why I asked, because the person said their car is black. Unless they got confused and the V5 states Black/Blue ie black exterior, blue interior?

I want to get it done too. Did you actually use the product Paintshield? So you didn't go half way up the bonnet?
