Hi guys, I've read the thread regarding removing the door panels as I'm tring to get the plastic panel off to cover it in leather. I didn't have a great start when the screw was just turning in step one (obviously someone has had the trim off before to align the windowns (they are pretty water tight). I managed to get it off eventually. Unfortunatley when I removed the window winder I discovered the allen screw has lost its thread (again a big clue it has been off before).

I cannot get the centre allen screw out! Any ideas on how I can remove it? I don't fancy trying to drill it out as I I need a good thread to screw it back into if I want to use the windows again!

I could have a go at covering the plastic in leather while fitted but I won't get any where near as good a finish.

Help!

I won't get a chance to have another go until Sunday :(

Cheers mate I've ordered a screw extractor. Hopefully that works.

Much appreciated.

I had the exact same problem last week. I got an extractor kit from Halfords for less than a tenner. Hammered the buggered screw, used WD, hammered some more, used extractor kit and eventurely it came out. Some silly dick had glued the flaming thing in! Good luck!

I have just spent all afternoon sanding mine down after trying to put leather on them, am going to spray them instead because the leather didn't sit in the curves right. I prob did it all wrong, good luck!
