The trouble is running a standalone ECU isn't especially cheap either. I imagine you could easily spend £2,500 on something like an Emerald ECU and half a day to a day getting someone good to map it.

IIRC vocky worked out it was cheaper to get the TMS/webcon TB kit.

a standalone ecu is the best way forward thumbsup but as winster pointed out it's best to buy the tms webcon itb's rather than just the standalone ecu the beauty is it can be fully mapped to your engine, believe me it's a world apart from the standard ecu mapping Imnotworthy

I'm 70miles from gatwick if you would like to experience a s/c. Be careful though - the last person who tried it bought one :D

Its just such a tempting price too, hmmmmm what sort of gains are you getting with them?

power gains with throttle bodies depends on a few things, what mods you have and what your rev limiter is expect about 25 bhp gains and a very good map, you really need to drive a converted vx220 to understand the difference thumbsup
