It'll be interesting to see how it handles the heat in the engine bay, especially if you go with the tubular manifold.

you have to do some chopping to get it to fit, but i think on a standard car with standard intake i think it would be fine.

i only had to chop it as i have a big dirty 90 deg pipe sticking up.

Don't fancy sitting in traffic with that on my engine ! On the past 2 occassions i've been in France I've had engine temps up at 110 regularly. This might also be a good time to say my car lives outside and hasn't had a water ingress problem - but if i was worried i'd buy a car cover over one of them i'm afraid.

why should it be a problem? it sits on the astra which is incased in a metal bonnet and thats fine. and i have had the problem 2 times now, each time £20 for sparkplugs.. plus the cover only cost me £25

Looks great IMO! Top work Chris! How is it fitted? does the oil cap hold it in place or are they fixings for it? Edit - Mark, did you have to cut yours to fit?

I did have to cut a tiny bit off the side to get it in but not much at all. Mine is held on with the oil cap, it was wedged under the clam and metal bits on the right of the engine and then pulled down to put the oil cap on (if that makes sense). You can see in the pic on the right hand side where one of the metal sticking up things (how technical was that?) has stressed the plastic, so if you take more time that should not happen!
