As stated in the first posting it's due 2 weeks from start of GB, which means Sunday 25th of January. I'll then contact everyone on the list to get contact details, which then will be forwarded to Scott. From then on it's his call to get all consoles done and shipped.

I tried to istall my CF consol today so I noticed that the cutout for the handbrake lever is,
at least at my consol, a bit too far on the right side located.
Leaving the lever scratching against the consol...

I have no pic of an RHD consol to compare but is it possible that the cutout on my consol is a RHD one??

Anyway, I enlarged the cutout to the left side about 2-3mm with a handfile to achieve same spec
as on my OEM consol, so now it should work. I install it tomorrow B)

A rather small mod but maybe something to change, if in fact necassary, for the group buy...

Here´s a pic of me OEM consol, you can clearly see the off-center cutoff,
someone here with a good pic of an RHD consol to compare?

Indeed the gap position is something to bear in mind. I've taken a picture of mine. With the gap on the left side, the lever is still very close (if not touching) to the left edge. Attached File  IMG_1488sm.jpg   406.86KB   12 downloads

I've checked mine as well during the weekend and the plastic is a very close fit as well. However, the plastic does a bit of flexing which the CF won't do. Scott has suggested that those who want to can get a slightly wider cutout to ensure clearance for the handbrake. Or you can go with the standard cutout. I've sent him details of the LHD cutouts just to be on the safe side.

Could you guys on the list please send me contact details via pm? E-mail addresses + postal addresses. Also please specify your preferences regarding cutout, std or wide. I'll then forward these to Scott who will handle it from there.

LHD list looks like this:
1. Stefan_A, center console + lower console
2. Dominique, center console + lower console
3. calumma83, center console
4. Piet, center console + lower console
5. Matte center console + lower console
6. Losy, center console + lower console
7.juracing39,center console

Ok, now closed! I'm still awaiting some contact details from you guys on the list, please reply to my PM if you haven't done so.

Thanks for signing up, that's what keeps the Speedster/VX220 community spirit up! Can't really see Opel/Vauxhall doing anything to encurage enthusiasm so we better treat us ourself.

I'll send the list over to Scott and he'll take it from here.

Cheers,
Stefan

Four center consoles done as of yesterdays update from Scott, lower consoles in progress (first ones due this week). Still missing contact details from one person on the list. I've sent the rest of the list over to Scott though. As soon as I've recieved the first set, I'll fit it and give feedback on fitting (I've ordered the std LHD cut out myself) both to Scott who makes them as well as post pics here. Cheers, Stefan

Could you confirm who you have the contact details for ? I just noticed my Sent Items PM box is totally empty so could not check if it went fine or not :glare:

Only missing information from "Matte", rest is fine. You will only get a copy in your sent folder if you tick that box when sending PM's.

6 center consoles done, and first lower console due early next week according to todays update from Scott. He wasn't really prepared for the uge interest from the Speedster community, given the lack of interest in previous VX220 group buy.
