hi
i am from australia

please advise the cost and when they may be available
i may also get them sent direct from rota in the phillipines to save heaps on freight

cheers
harry

This is what we've all been missing right? Cheap 16/7 combo 5 spokes that weigh next to nothing...

A picture of them; Imnotworthy

I'm currently in talks with Rota to get a group buy going. Obviously there will be small waiting time (special order) but whats wrong with that?! :D

This was done for the Elise S1 also,

http://www.elisepart...3386a44034af6d2

The picture of the Elise is not the best to say the least!

The wheels will be a perfect fit. With the PCD's being 110x5....

What would people recommned for off sets and sizes? It can only be one set size...

Front 7x16 = 5.95kg!
Rear 8x17 = 8.4kg / 8.5x17 = 9.6kg (8 or 8.5?)

We'll need around 10 poeple with deposits...

Prices will be up as soon as I get them...

I'll start the interested list;

1. Freedo

Found a nice site where you can see the result:
http://www.rarerims.co.uk/virtual/
Can someone upload a nice VX220 profile?

I don't see a silver version here, or full gun-metal. What about the available colors??

Haven't heard any thing from them on the UK website. I'll try Rota direct instead... If anyone has any experience setting these up, please go ahead and see what you can do. I don't have much time atm. :grouphug:

I am very interested in a pair of front 16 x 7. I could not tell from your original post, are you proposing to have front and rear wheels manufactured OR just fronts?

I would want 20 m/m off set.

Would prefer silver or gray color. Black wheels look awesome when the whole car is super shiny but lose their attraction (to me at least) once the car has been rained on a couple of times.

Of course it all come back to budget. The Thorney 16 inch front/17 inch rears are £600 for a full set. Again my personal preference but I don't really like the apearence of the 12 spoke design.

I would much prefer a 5 spoke design. So it comes back to cost. Assuming you get an order for 10 sets, what pricing are we looking at?

To any technical dudes? Am I right to say that 20 m/m off gives a wider footprint than say 30 m/m off set (ie it is the reverse to what you would think). So with 20 m/m offset the wheels would be further apart than with 30 m/m off set. If this is correct I cant see someone thinking of fitting big brakes would want their wheels pushed up tighter to the calipers??

Just so you know I am a sad car nut, my first waking thought this morning is what 16 inch front wheel should I buy for my car!
