hi all
rota wheels are in the PHILIPPINES

web site is
www.rotawheels.com

contact their export department and see what they can do
i rung them last week . they have wheels for elise / exige but not for VX220/EUROPA . perhaps they can organise a group buy and make special ones to fit

cheers

HARRY

Contacted them yesterday via email so should hopefully hear back from them either tomorrow or Tuesday...

Might be interested as well dependant on price! Keep us posted regarding that!

But what I would really like is to run a 17" inch wheel in the front as well. Is there any chance that something like that would be possible to get?

I like the look of these, might be the best ones yet except for ATS DTC.

You could always use a pair of rears, but with a 10mm or 15mm spacer  That may depend on which width rear is chosen, as 8" may be pushing it a little

Ohhh! Never thought of that! That's a bright idea! :)

However, isn't 'the normal' 17" front rims 7,5" wide?

What tires could you run on an 8" rim? I am aiming for 205's in front and 235's in the back. Would that be possible on two sets of 8" rims?

Sorry for posting these questions in this thread!

The normal front wheels are only 5.5", and the rears 7.5" I think 225 may be the minimum that will fit properly on an 8" rim

Sorry, didn't exactly make my self clear on that one. I know that's the width of the standard rims, I was thinking about aftermarket, such as DTS and Speedlines etc..

Sorry!

225 might be just a little too wide in the front! A shame! I really like these!

Aftermarket (16") fronts tend to be 7" wide thumbsup

7.5x17" front is likely the widest 17" front rim you can run without running into clearance issues on full lock and still keeping the outside of the rim under the wheel arch. in theory you can run a 195x45 on these or a 205x45 You'll still need careful management of the offset , need to be in 20~25 ET range. i managed to slip a 7.5x17 under a europa wheel arch using 205x45 tyre and effective wheel offset of 22 (ET38wheel +16mm eibach spacer). Note a higher profile 205x50 will rub the chassis and wheel arch liner on full lock using this offset. An 8" rim will more than likely sit outside the wheelarch or rub the chassis if the offset is move inward.

It'll all have to be the same colour / size. I think the price includes everything. I'll go double check though....
