Arseholes. Anyway, i thought u needed some special type of trolley jack to lift the car up. I went to Kwik-Fit and they said they couldnt do it. Thats the general feedback i get from most places. Can anyone help me? Imnotworthy

I use a normal jack - the expandable diamond shape type that you usually find in the boot of most cars - seems to do the job fine. I've jacked up two VXs with it more times than I can remember and never had any probs. Very important you jack in the right place though unless you want a hole in your chasis. Jack up the car, remove wheel, open caliper, take old pad out, put new one in, close caliper, etc.... Piece of cake. Do a search for 'jacking', there's loads of info on this. Anyway, windscreen surrounds.... Post a pic when you get your car back so we can see.

Roll the car up onto some wooden blocks, and then you will have enough clearance to jack it up. cheers
