Not cheap but I wonder if you could drop one into a VX without too many mods. I'll ask him on Monday when I'm there.

That's a great conversion and designed/manufactured very very well to use so much of the standard car, without needing any modification. It would just be totally wrong to stick a Ford engine in a Vauxhall though. The mongrel that is a Lotus can get away with it but would seem very odd in a VX. :D

Ford Duratech?

I've heard this is becoming the conversion of choice now for the Elise. Steve Williams in Maidenhead was toying with dropping one into an S1 Elise he had lying around in his workshop, not sure if he did it. Easily tunable to 350bhp with a blower. Imnotworthy

Erm... what does Nick's SC 2.2 run at again?

I would be curious to drive a silly power car. Not really sure how drivable something woth 300 or 400 BHP would be. I know I wouldn't want that much power in my daily driver VX, certainly not without TC but I guess for a lot of you these are just toys?

Vocky, with a 7000 or 7200 rpm hard cut I won't need to worry about replacing the final drive ratio will I?

But but but...with 400hp you would be able to make those awesome wheelies :)

I would personally use a 4.17 final drive F23 with a 7200rpm rev limiter thumbsup
