I've got the same prob but I'm using the keyboard so there's not much chance of being pregressive with the throttle. Try stiffening up the rear 'bound' damper to get the weight on the back wheels quicker when you put the power down. Managed a few 1:46 laps in the FWD.

I'm not saying the FWD is faster but it is easy to beat RWD drivers once you get the hang of it. I use KB at work and what you are experiencing is the same as me when I started. You will get better. B)

This went a bit quiet. Anyway, I've recently got back into it and have managed to unlock all the cars now. The LX6 Caterham style car is a beast. I'm loving the MRT5 go-kart though, managed to download a setup for it which is nice and forgiving and doesn't spin out too much - managed to get competitive in a couple of races and pull off a few podium finishes. I'm yet to crack a 1:30 laptime though. Check "Jase_MK" on www.lfsworld.com for laptimes etc. BenW, did you get this working in the end? Anyone fancy a VX220.org LFS challenge one evening? Thinking I might buy the flashy PS2 FF wheel in prep for GT4 as it works on the PC too if you get the right drivers :groupjump: Using the mouse is OK but oversteer correction usually results in massive over correction and big spins! I see there is also an option for analog clutch - cool!

BUMP. (Over two years after the last post! LOL)

Just found this game last night. After a random google search. Played it for the rest of the night!!!

"Did a search" on here (hey get me) for any mention of the game and this thread came up.

Go get it folks. Its good fun. We could have a laugh on it.

Go get the demo here (playable online) and see what you think.

I just went and unlocked the Full version. No REAL cars but very REAL handling etc. Good fun.

Check it out.

:D

VX220na- is your wheel a Logitech one? I've got my PS2 wheel working (although the pedals don't work). I downloaded drivers from the Logitech site- they weren't for my wheel (Driving force) but I picked the one that looked most like it and the drivers installed and calibrated it fine on the PC. Only once I got into the game did the pedals not work but at least the wheel does.

Lets all create "vx220.org.uk" servers!!! Set a password on the server to stop the nooby stock car folks from wiping us out! Password = "letmein" always works. :grouphug: How about 8pm (UK time) tomorrow? Go for the standard track me thinks but a choice of a select few cars. :D

Working 12 hour shifts Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday  Usually home about 7.30 so by the time I have dinner I may be able to pop in for a bit but the missus won't be chuffed :P I'll keep an eye out every time I'm on although I tend to play more during the day as I work four days on four days off. What sort of lap times are people getting in the FWD on the basic track? (tightwad with the demo version here :D ) My best is a 1:37.6 (or thereabouts) but generally during a race I'll average 1:39-1:41s. Anyone else?

Downloaded yesterday. Only really played it today. Best lap in FWD is about 1.44. Unlocked the RWDs but the turbo handles like my NA in the wet! ;)
