What 0-60 are we getting with modifications, for example what will a stage 1, 2 do for your 0 - 60?

I am afraid you won't get many answers to this, people don't care about 0-60 times in the vx it's about the drivability of the car with mods that important to people.

Yes I know this but just wondered what the mods would do. For example could I get a sub for second time with 250BHP aposed to the standard 200BHP or would i need even more. That was all..

I never understand why people seem 'offended' at being asked 0-60 times. If I buy a fridge I like to know how big it is, how cold it goes, how much energy it uses etc. Likewise if I buy a car I like to know how fast it goes, how fast it accelerates, how big the boot is etc. Why do people seem to snub 0-60 askers??

all it takes is typing in 0-60 calculator.....

like this

all you need to know is bhp at the flywheel, weight of the car and bingo all the statistics you need to make you have a bigger willy at the pub

Why do people seem to snub 0-60 askers??

Because its so friggin hard to achieve the manufacturers stated times and completely meaningless in the real word.

I did some 0 - 60 times testing for a manufacturer a few years ago (so they could publish the figures)
2000 mile old car, with brand new tyres & clutch. Half an hour and 10 runs later tyres were fuked and the clutch was slipping like a slippery thing. The best figure we achieved was 4.7 seconds - ONCE. Low and behold this is what was published.

If you really want to massively improve your 0 - 60 time, bolt a set of slicks on the rear and go to santa pod. You'll probably better you time by half a second or so

30 - 70 is a much more realistic performance measure, but the guy down the pub doesnt understand this.

thumbsup Far to much emphasis is placed on the headline 0-60 figure of a car when in the real world how often do any of us actually go from '0-60'?......

Nice answer actually thumbsup. I do like to know 0-60 times just for benchmark reasons really to compare with other cars. Like Garry says it's extremely rare to actually go 0-60 as fast as possible. IMO something like 30/40mph to xxx is a much more 'realistic' measure of acceleration.

an old time with CS3,
40-90 4.4s

Jesus christ that's fast!
