There are more cars than you think out there that would eat stage4 vx's certainly in a straight line. Also it is not easy to cover cross county in a high powered vx and find I can go quicker is less focused cars. Track is more favoured We are not the only group of people who look to extract more power / performance out of our cars and there are better ones out there. Just usually cost a LOT more to do :D DG

myabe everyone in the countryside by me are just bit behind the times! only thing thats equalled the vx is noble round here and that was pretty much dead heat!

any normal fast cars, scoobies, type r's etc! its a bit one sided!

as for diff, my vx has a lsd in it and guy who had the car before me said u would never notice on the road, but maybe on track!

wot power were u running before then?

i dont think anyone cant be anything but impressed and almost pretty shocked at any vx thats runn 270hp+, makes the car accelerate so instantly from low revs! problem is when u have had stage4 vx and eventually move onto something else, wot cars are gonna give the same feeling??? without a huge price tag?!?! thats my problem! lol

i sometimes think about going for more than my 291hp, by going for internal engine mods and turbo etc, but reastically on the road your gonna be pretty unfortunate to come across anything as fast as 290hp vx, and even with stage 4 they are as reliable as any other car so y risk going for more power and making car maybe more unreliable!

i am a stage 4 lover:-) courtney are vx gods, lol

After speaking to John @ CS I will by next year go down that route. I'm not going to go mental...just going for steel rods, forged pistons, pair of cams,AET Turbo & manifold & an M32 6 speed box. That should be plenty without it being undriveable.
Definately going for suspension & a good Geo first though!

wot kind of money are you expecting that to cost?

i just think about doing that to mine, then think i will prob be just as happy driving mine hard and knowing i have the extra 3k+ in the bank, but i am tight on money like that, lol

Don't know & don't care tbh! After feeling the difference since my stage 4 which was only yesterday I just want to feel that big "FCUKING HELL,WE'RE FLYING NOW!" feeling again. :groupjump: I would like to be able to see my true 0-60mph time though at the moment.

Danny, what tyres have you got on it? If you don't have R888s yet, then you should really budget for a full set of these - they will transform cornering and braking by a LOT. I took my bro out in the VX and he was stunned by its handling on a round-about (and he used to own a Porche GT Turbo). Am keen to have a psx ride in yours. Am still wondering why it didn't quite make the 300 BHP club... perhaps Courtenays played safe and put one of the lesser stage 4 maps in to accomodate for your slight probs with the intercooler. Nevster.
