JUST WONDED IF ANYONE HAD TRYED PUTTING A DIFFRENT ENGINE IN A VX220 .I NO A HONDA V TEC WILL FIT IN A LOTAS ELICE .AND THE 1.8 TOYOTA ENGINE IS LIGHTER AND LOT MORE POWER THAN MY 2.2 ENGINE :sleepy:

the W16 from a Bugatti Veyron would fit if you had enough ££££££s and knowledge. Most 4 cylinder engines would fit in, some would be easier than others

Most 4 cylinder engines would fit in, some would be easier than others

wounded if anyone has put vauxhall 1.9 diesel 150 bhp and lots of tork as standard . .200bhp with re map . 55mpg in a big heavy vectra .just think if it was it a light Wait vx220

Sure I've seen a picture of a diesel engine in a VX220. Criminal though. You can quote bhp and torque figures all day long to me about diesel engine but they just don't drive the same. I also wouldnt want to turn my sportscar into a little yellow taxi.

I wonder how an FQ engine would fare. Also not sure a 2ZZ-GE is lighter than a Z22SE

Honda lumps seem to be a good option. A friend has a throttle bodied B16A2 lump in his Elise. Very well suited to the car, not to mention it sounds awesome :happy: Will get some photos if you want.

Just done a bit of research and can confirm you are right. 2ZZ-GE 115kg Z22SE 148kg
