So with just rods a safe rev limit would be..? Around that? 6850?

Without s/c up to 7200 should be fine. I think someone said that 6800 was very safe for s/c. This is without upgrading the rods.

I would be worried about the bolts before the rods. Do the Eagle rods come with ARP bolts or similar?

I remember Courtenays saying they has Maxs' running at about 150 with revs to spare in 5th but it wouldn't go any faster, Mark.Vs' guy should know he has removed the limit on the z22se ECU

Hi, mine does 7300 rpm with standard rods, standard gearbox and normal ECU reprogrammed by DBilas Dynamics. Runs 270 km/hr (approx 167 mph) measured with GPS (2.2 turbo charged), but over 250 km/hr it's no fun anymore, just pinching the steering wheel I can tell you. Probably not something you should do for 15 minutes or so, but until now it stays fine for more than 25.000 kilometers already.. In summary, the standard ECU with the right programming shouldn't be a limitation to go fast. Regards, The Duke

I guess everyone should decide for himself. I'd do it again tomorrow. Should you ever come over to the European mainland (Holland in this case), you're invited for a testdrive B) (as passenger btw) Regards, The Duke

Sorry Jimmy. It seems you cant shake us that way! I would think aerodynamics and how solid on the ground your car feels at speed (i.e how scarey) will dominate the top speed. I know personally that if its really windy, I'll be going nowhere near 150. Most I've seen is 145 on mine on a windless, sunny day with hot tyres and no bends. Martin s

on the way back from le ferte gaucher we got up to some very naughty speeds anyway, regardless of how much power any of the superchargers get , it will never beat the turbo topspeed 3.95 < 3.63

So I'm playing Racedriver Grid (learning Spa), and the back straight at Spa will undoubtedly induce max velocity from our little plastic cars.

Just got me thinking... How fast will our supercharged brothers actually go...? Anybody (under laboratory conditions) found out just how fast the supercharged cars will go...?

Already sweating it Jimmy?

I have a top end of 147 mph NA or supercharged, I will just get there a lot quicker with a blower fitted.

No sweat here ladies, just curious what will happen when your speedo goes off the scale. Doesn't it only go up to 110mph...?

Nah, 95mph. I have to use sat nav beyond that.

Wonder how much difference the NOS will make on top of the SC?

My speed quoted was obviously on a long straight runway, and not something I'm that keen on doing a lot, especially once every lap of Spa! Thing is, saying that, I remember losing the front end of my bike at 100 plus on one of the spa corners, then swore I wouldnt go out again, but, was out there 10 minutes later with a gaffer taped boot. It really is that much fun!!! Martin s
