no idea, I suspect you could build better without so much bling and focussed totally on specification of materials

no details about comp ratio , but looks like mid range has suffered noticeably ,

compare : http://www.dyno-plot...vx220/index.htm

wonder if they used an early x20xev crank instead , no balance shaft cogs, so lighter

apart from that I'm disappointed it doesn't rev out to 8500 for a built engine.

its got to be knocking on the door of £7-10K if its built by a company etc... for that money you could have the same 420-450bhp with tons of torque mid range on autronic and rev to 8.5K etc blah blah blah im soo bad for being anti tuner  blah

I was quoted £ 13.5k for a similar amount of work by a certain company (who I will not name), and that was without the Klassen inlet which itself is £800 more. I am attempting a similar (but more powerful setup (due to larger turbo with more high revs puff mainly) on my car for approx £9000 (and thats including the Klassen inlet). You can thus draw an approx idea of the profit margins made. Having said that, I consider the profit margin fairly sensible. Looking at the torque curve, I would say that it looks excelent with very little mid range peak, making for a very progressively featherable throttle. I will be very happy if I achieve a simliarly 'flat' torque curve. As for not maxing out at 8500 revs, there is a lot of worthyness in not needing to rev the engine over 700 PRM - namely longevity. The difference of engine life from 7000 revs to 8500 is logarithmic. That said however, if you wanted the car for tracking it would be much better to have a steeper BHP curve in the last 3000 RPM, as that BHP curve is too flat to be worth reving over 5700 revs.

the turbo is too small to flow enough for 8500, it's the classic problem of a fixed geometry turbo that you can't get a wide enough range of flow.

Good results from that turbo :) Looks like the new cast manifold is working well and will def help with heat managment ;) So looking at that spec I need to buy a trubo and manifold and make downpipe :P lol Be interesting to see how much the inlet manifold free's up on the AET K04/06 hybrid ;) edit: my mistake forgot that was on tubi mani :o

itb's  i am in two mind at the moment either to progress on stage 3 itb's or to supercharge :( don't let me go on the dark side as well please :P
itb's is a very costly way of modding and i am finding out at the moment but when i start the car it is 100% better oral than s/c :P

All we've heard from you since the moment you had those ITB's fitted is that they're the best things known to mankind and that all a supercharger did was make a whhheeeeeee noise. Now look at you, seriously considering getting an SC conversion. :D :D :D
