That's quite impressive. The stationary picture is very good. Did you get anything on the rear camera?I ordered 2 of these cameras last Saturday and they turned up exactly a week later giving me chance to try them out on the Peak District run.
You need to buy a micro SD card separately but I bought two 2GB cards from Transcend for £7.50 so all in for two cameras it cost me about £27.
First thing I realised after watching the footage back is that the memory is full after about 25 minutes, great if you switch them on just before you go out on track or about to head down a great road but not so good if you wait around for about 5 minutes looking at a car park wall waiting for the run to get started.![]()
I lost 5 minutes recording looking at a wall, spent most of the time following slower traffic and the rest of the video getting lost and then waiting for someone else to take the lead and get us back on route, oh well, at least I know now.
Here's a quick sample of what the quality is like when loaded up to youtube.
I have to say though, when viewing the footage back on my pc the quality is a fair bit better but you get the idea.
All in all I have to say I'm pretty pleased with them and they're very good value for money.

Yeah, most of it was of some random Z4 that tagged along for the runThat's quite impressive. The stationary picture is very good. Did you get anything on the rear camera?

The rear camera worked just as well. I think I probably mounted it to far back towards the centre of the car because about the bottom 3rd of the shot is just of my bootlid.

After seeing that original video it's not quite as clear as I thought it was going to be but my original footage is quite a bit clearer than what I loaded up to youtube. I just cut the footage in windows movie maker and then loaded it up, maybe the guy on sxoc used different software and it kept a clearer image, who knows.Quality seems a bit different to the op on sxoc.

I do actually. They look great. Any more footage from the day?
I mounted another of these mini cameras on the boot lid. I had exactly the same issue with filming a wall for 5 minutes and then of getting stuck in slow traffic but I'll put a clip up tonight of it.
I also had a 3rd camera, one of these ---> http://www.goprocamera.com/ stuck to the windscreen. I'm not sure exactly which model it was (a mate lent it to me and the box is at home) but I've not looked to see what the footage from that camera is like yet because I accidentally ingested some petrol last night and I was feeling a bit queezy and couldn't be bothered.

Waiting on mine still though, I'm guessing 4GB cards are the way then!
Will purchase one now...

Shortly after I had a bit of a stomach ache so I'm putting it down to either licking my fingers after eating or possibly a sligtly dodgy kebab. I know I know, I'm a walking advert for best health and safety practices.

I'm still waiting for mine, but I was thinkng I could centre mount it inbetween driver and passenger with the roof off...
with regards to the amount of footage that can be stored, and the charge. Wouldn't it be possible to charge it off the cigarette lighter (using a usb extension) so that it can run constant and then just switch it on as an when you want to record.
Anyway I don't have mine yet, so I'll have a play once I've got it.
can't wait!
That's just what I was planing to do. I've ordered 4GB cards to go in them so I can mouunt them to the car with a USB cable plugged in and set up the viewing angle via the Web Cam driver. Then when I want to use just plug the USB cable into a Lighter charger converter thing

the file once chopped up was about 250MB and i didnt bother compressing it as the quality seems to be much worse as soon as you upload to the net.
anyway here it is..
