Has anybody managed to change the date stamp yet?. Have tried it with the suggested tag.txt file in the root directory but in my case it does not seem to work, not surprised as I'm generally the kiss of death when it comes to computers

Just got my SHDC cards as well. I can confirm mine are #3 cameras looking at the FAQ.

The instructions for changing the date/time on a #3 work perfectly.

Both cams tested and seem fine. Need to try a driving video now. Being able to tape them anywhere should be a real boon.

Who is going to be first to work out how to wire up an external switch?

That would be real cool. Remote start/stop, continues usb power and a 32 gig in all of them.

I have no need for any of these cameras, but at this price it is tempting! Think we may need a new thread to discuss in-car camera techniques/Directing/Editing! The view from the grill is nice and low, which gives an increased impression of speed...a good thing. However, that could be the view from anything. Wouldn't it be better to have a view from behind the rear-view mirror or similar. From up there you'd see the lovely lines of the VX front wings and a decent view of the road ahead. Still, what do I know? I look forward to seeing what people will come up with (especially on track).

I took this to heart, and tried blu-tacking it to the drivers mirror. Good view of the wing, I reckon. thumbsup

The Z3 didn't want to play...

Trouble is, I'm still having problems with the controls - so I have various stills of bits of sky, a nice video of me fixing the camera to the front grill - but I lost the clip from the grill as I blasted up past the circuit... Has anyone worked out which button to push, and for how long??

At the 2 buttons at the top, the lower of the 2 is the on. Then press the top one for a few sec, and the yellow led wil blink about 3 times. That means the tape is running. So no visual confirmation whatsoever. When finished, just press the on/off again, to stop taping.
