My two cameras arrived earlier this week which really surprised me due to flight delays caused the the valcano thumbsup I charged one of them up on Thursday night and used it in the car on my way to work yesterday to test. Quite impressed really. I just rested the fob on the dash with nothing to secure it - so the footage is a bit wobbly... Also the windscreen could have been dryer/cleaner too...

Got mine today (complete with 'English' instructions). Firstly, it says to expect red or green lights, but I only get orange - no problem as it seems to work ok. The instructions also say there is a CD included - not with mine it wasn't! Is this normal? Just mucking about with it in the office, the quality looks fine thumbsup

Nope no CD included. I mounted mine next to the V on the clam, it is perfectly flat and the video looks superb. I can't be bothered to post it up though, my net is down at home. I just used velcro, for track days I might add some tape too. The only downside I can see to mounting it here instead of the cabin will be the boring 10 mins stuck in the pit lane before getting on track. You don't get any of the reflection from the window. Have a go, it is loads better.

You need to do more quality BaT OPL days where it's garanteed no queueing in the pitlane thumbsup

Don’t buy from powergps! Been almost 6 weeks now since I ordered and still no cams :angry2:

In their defence they have agreed to send the items out again but there are probably more reliable sellers out there thumbsup

Not sure if this is in the thread already but I found this video on the tube that might be useful for setup and use...

After using both for testing they sat in the draw. Just charged them up to use again and one is OK but other dead :( Light just stays on regardless. Tried swapping over the (empty) SD cards but no joy. Will only turn off with the reset button. CBA trying to return a £7 toy from Hong Kong so in the trash it goes :(

Just ordered one of these 10 quid beauties.
Not quite sure how I am going to mount it to be a) secure and B) stealthy to the track day scrutineers! How have you guys done yours ?

I have 4 of 6 left now. On one the battery swelled to unsafe proportions and one went through the wash... Cheap enough to treat as disposable though. One of the older ones has been modified now so it gets a permanent power feed from the cigarette lighter socket. Meaning I can dump a 16GB MicroSD card in it and film for much longer periods. Still have the problem of forgetting to power down and filling memory cards unwillingly of footage of the car stood in a garage or padock...

Sounds sweet. Did you take any pics of the mod?

Which one did you get from Maplin? Had a search on the site but only this http://www.maplin.co...&C=SO&U=strat15 or this http://www.maplin.co...ModuleNo=394409 can't seem to find the 720p one.

Can't knock the £7 one though. Just thinking might like a little higher resolution though.

Cheers.
