Sorry if this has already been asked, but I just want to be sure etc.

If i get a Scangauge, is this the one I need http://cgi.ebay.co.u...377ec67fe699054

Is it as simple as plugging it in to the plug socket that's by the passenger footwell ?

I want it to be able to switch the cooling fan on & off manually.
Is it just a case of entering the following codes in, and that's it ?

C433F130130700

Accept that and go to Memory 2, put this code in

C433F1301307FF

fan on = Memory 1
fan off = Memory 2

Please let me know, so I know what to order, and what to do when it arrives ?

Yours is a turbo, isn't it? Didn't think those codes worked for the turbo. Good news if it does. I'm sure there is an equivalent fan switching code for the turbo's ecu but not sure anyone has discovered it yet. Maybe Courtenay or Klasen will know what the hex string is.

No, not just that. With all the other info etc that it gives, I think it's a rather good deal.

Plus it's easy to install - which suits me ! Posted Image

I have mine set up exactly like that! Mem 1 turns the fan on, Mem 2 turns it off. I have also added the X-gauges of BHP and AF Ratio just because I can, just a bit of fun.

Darryl, Any chance I can have a look at your scangauge and you show me how it works?. Sounds interesting. Either you can come to me or I to you. Trevor.

Trevor.

Sure can, although it's pretty easy to program it once you know what codes to put in. I'll dig em out, Where are you based? EDIT: Just seen yours is a turbo, will see if I can find out if the same codes work

You can add extra gauges on your scangauge - as long as your make of car can read the settings of course. These extra gauges are called X-gauges. once you know the codes for your car it's just a case of bashing them in. The x-gauges can then be cycled through on the main gauge screen along with the standard ones. I believe you can also program fuel trim percentages or similar?
