Darryl
Bought a Scangauge but can't get the AFR to work. Do you think that's because it's a turbo? Tried different commands off the website but no luck so far.
Trevor
AFR code is not correct for VXT ecu. MAP also is not working.

Yep that's the two things that I wanted it for and neither work at the moment. Anyone got a solution?
Trevor.
Yep - don't worry about it

The main 2 I use are the Air Inlet Temp and BHP. Interesting to see how quickly the air inlet temp rises when you boot it (with the standard IC)
Also surprising to see how much BHP you use even for mild accelaration in a tubby - I don't know how you N/A boys and girls manage

So does that mean we don't know the codes or are these two functions not available on the scangauge for a VXT?
How exactly are these codes discovered? Is there a list of them somewhere, or has someone figured them out themselves?

I was referring to the codes that turn the fan on and off. I don't see those codes on any official website (so far). So where did they come from?
my research:

Quick question.... Where does the wiring for the rad fan come/go?
Just wondering if there is a chance I have unplugged the radiator fan in my tinkering in the bonnet at somepoint! I had a look on the TIS and it seems to run just between the radiator mount and the screen washer bottle.... Correct?
Update: Just been out with the voltage tester and found resistance across the fan connector. So I had a wiggle with the connection points on the two sockets, pulled out and refitted both 25Amp fuses and wiggled all the relays. Went and switched on the engine reused the codes and hey presto fan working. (following some of the tips on here: http://www.vx220.org...ost__p__1031045 - beautiful google search engine)
I have also come to the decision that I have never heard the fan in all my ownership.... You guys are right it is bloody noticeable. I am now one happy bunny.

It's a good feeling when the fan comes on (for the first time) isn't it !

Either that or the missus has left her vibrator on the passenger floor and it has started up all on it's own!
