It is with sadness that I write this, but with joy that I do it in the knowledge that I will be back here as soon as I damn well can.

My situation and moving house means I do not want to take a VX with me, it's not practical or sensible, and I can't bear to leave it at home for what would probably be 8 or 9 months. So I've decided the best options is to sell up mine, buy a cheaper but still slightly fun car, might have settled on a Cooper S, and then pocket the extra and perhaps go for an N/A at the start of next year, or around XMas time, and start working on that again.

'52 Plate Silver VX220
MOT & Tax until possibly November this year (will have to check)

The specs are as follows:

Engine:
2.2 Ecotec, on 72500 miles (used daily) Full Vauxhall/Thorney Motorsport service history
Eaton M62 Supercharger, recently oiled

Suspension and braking:
Brand new (less than 1k miles ago) discs and Mintex 1155 pads
Brand new (3k miles ago) Gaz adjustable coilovers, 425/475 springs
Brand new (3k miles ago) Team Dynamics 1.2 16/17 wheels, with new Kumho KU31's

Misc:
Blacked out front and rear lights - turbo style
HID Xenon 6.5k dipped beam, 8k full beam, white LED sidelights
Blacked out V, with gloss black front and rear badges
Full interior carpeted
Centre console painted black
Headunit with aux input
Heater box sealed

Maintenance:
Replaced rear left track rod - prone to failure due to distance to u bend (1k miles ago)
All brakes replaced
Engine oil and filter changed, both engine and chargecooler coolant changed, supercharger belt changed after initial one was too tight

Other Mods:
Eagle H Beam Conrods
Courtenay Sport Supercharger Stage 2 Map
JamSport data logged (available) and recorded at 256bhp and 226lbft
Milltek Downpipe, Sports Cat, and Backbox
Pro Alloy radiator to prevent standard failure
Forge Motorsport charge cooler radiator
Alloy Fabrications header tank
Standard header tank protector to stop UV damage
Temperature sensor fitted to kick the double fan setup in at a chosen temperature
EGR removed and cheater installed

The bad points:
A couple of paint marks as is usual, especially on the front. A small crack on the rear clam, and some lacquer peel due to the water in the fibre glass
The rear post cat read-only lambda has failed and turned the MIL on
Some of the hight temp black paint has started to peel off the supercharger
The chair bolster is worn on the driver's side

Some extras I have not fitted are:
Brand new Hub Carrier Bolts in 10.9 strength to prevent failure
Full set of undertray bolts (as some rattled out)

The car has been perfect throughout its ownership with me. The supercharger was installed by myself, Vocky, and joe, of the VX220 owners club. Vocky has built numerous Z22SE engines to high spec, and commented that this one looked in very very good condition when the conrods were being changed. This conversion was done at 69,000 miles, only 3,000 miles ago. It in incredibly quick and will probably reach 60 in around 4 seconds.

I am asking £13,995 for it, as it has been very well looked after, as my only car, my project, and still with comfort in mind, and everything that is non standard bar the headunit has been done by myself in the year I've owned it.

Kept under a cover throughout winter, to attempt to stave off the freezing weather which affects the VX's paint so much.

I am moving house towards university to finish my course, and cannot bring this with me, so much better for someone else to get the use out of it, than it sit at my current residence lonely for 9 months or so.

I'm sure I've missed some things, can never get enough into for sale ads... feel free to PM me and I will reply asap.

Car is based in Northampton.

If you wanted any of the paintwork doing, I have a good friend who owns a bodyshop that does high quality spray and repair work, and a price could be negotiated for that.

It would be inteesting to se if these Superchargers sell for the prices your putting on them. Stage 4 tubbys sell for about 1-2k more than standard but the supercharger ones seem to have 5k ontop of the standard price. Sorry to see you sell though, good luck with the house move chinky chinky

I think that rcvaughan's asking price is reasonable considering the condition of the rest of the car.

Sorry to hear Seb. Best of luck.

This is a very good example of an Sc car, I have had the opportunity to have a good nose round and it is as sound as a pound. Good luck with the sale Seb, sorry it has to go but I look forward to seeing your new one develop when you get it.

I am just as interested as you are Mark.

Last SC car that went was bought by Southpaw and that was £12k, about £3-4k over the equivalent NA price and his is what, stage 2 I guess.

Seb is at Stage 3 with the rods and larger charge cooler etc. and with the rarity of these cars coming on the market and so many people wanting the (lets face it, far superior) supercharged cars, I guess buyers will dictate the market.

Time will tell, there is always room built in for negotiation I figure.
