Stephanie has emailed me to let me know they are making up a new version of the MO5's in both 7*16 and 8*17 sizes

These wheels are different in design to the older style that was rejuvinated for the group buy; they have a slightly rounder finish on the spokes which makes them even more speedlinealike! They will also have Compomotive cast into one of the spokes :)

Looks like they will be ~£725 all in delivered to your door, and will be going into production very shortly

They should look great B)

As before they are available in silver, satin black, gold and white :)

Ah a lot easier to clean than TD's!!! 1. Weight? 2. Strength??? Surely TD's are far LESS likely to get bent by pot holes. Fine for track days depending on point 1. All the same if the resistance to bending is there and they are light I think I will be having some. THE WORSE PART OF MY LIFE IS CLEANING MY TD'S. I would not be without 16 inch fronts though.

seriously doubt, it the MO's where orignally rally wheels and are pretty bomb proof.

and as such weigh about as much as a VXT

My mate has just taken delivery of his Mo6's in 15*8, the spokes look like 13's due to the 20tons of rim

Best to get in contact direct, they may have cast them by now; but they do have a two week factory holiday coming up Weights will be available after the cast run, but should be around the same as the older design MO5's in the group buy, but without the need for the extra machining that was done to take the weight off :)

I might be in the minority here but i always felt that the steering weight and feel of the car was nicer on my NA with 17's and ggod geo the the VXR with the 16 fronts..... I appreciate a lot of it is about tyre choice but i think next time i may stick with 17's although compos and speedlines look great!!

Yes Comp's are well regarded in strength terms but they have been heavy, really heavy compared to TD in the past are these any different?

I know the original speedlines were very heavy and were designed for rally use but I thought the compomotive versions were nearer the TD wieghts. Am I wrong?

I have Compo's with 888's on for track and TD's with Khumos for road - maybe its the erong way round?

I will do a wieght comparision when i get time.

I've done a quick search and it seems: Speedlinealikes- 8kg front 10kg rear 36kg total Speedlines 11kg front 12kg rear 46kg total TD's 7.5kg front 8kg rear 31kg total OEM 10.5kg front 11kg rear 43kg total So overall the speedlinealikes are much closer to the TD weights than either standard or speedline options As above, there's a good chance the new design will be lighter still :)
